The Street Keepers Project is dedicated to neighborhood beautification through community involvement.

The logotype was designed to reflect these goals:

• Create "adopt-a-street" programs in which residents invest in landscaping improvements, and other developments of public land
  
  
• Develop "clean-up" squads of youth who volunteer to maintain the common areas on a block.
  
  
• Create mentoring relationships between adults, teenagers and children
  
  
• Encourage a sense of pride in one's neighborhood
